In Loving Memory of Collin Lacaze
The Alexandria community is heartbroken as it remembers Collin Lacaze, a bright and promising 16-year-old student from Alexandria Senior High School. On the night of March 31, Collin and a fellow student were involved in a tragic roadside accident on Eddie Williams Avenue near Tulane Avenue. Collin suffered severe injuries and passed away, leaving family, friends, and teammates in profound sorrow.
Collin was more than just a student—he was a cherished friend, a beloved son, and a valued member of the Alexandria Senior High baseball team. Coach Greg Briggs and his teammates remember him for his dedication, sportsmanship, and the joyful energy he brought to every game and practice. His passion for baseball and his kindness off the field left an impression on everyone who knew him.
The community extends heartfelt support to Collin’s family and the other student affected by the accident. In times like these, the people of Alexandria come together to honor the memory of young lives and to offer comfort to those who are grieving.
Though Collin’s time with us was far too brief, his spirit, laughter, and determination will continue to inspire those who loved him. As friends, family, and classmates remember Collin, the legacy of his warmth and enthusiasm for life will never be forgotten.
May he rest peacefully, and may the Alexandria community continue to cherish the memories of a remarkable young life taken far too soon.
