In Loving Memory of Seth Zerbel
NEOSHO, Mo. — The Neosho community and all who knew him are mourning the loss of Seth Zerbel, 31, who tragically passed away in a one-vehicle crash earlier today. The fatal incident occurred at approximately 12:22 p.m. on MO 86, just 1/8 of a mile east of Neosho. Seth was pronounced dead at 12:35 p.m. by Newton County Coroner Ronnie Jones.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Seth was driving a 2003 Toyota Sequoia when he traveled off the right side of the road, overcorrected, veered off the left side, and ultimately collided with a utility pole. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but despite their efforts, Seth succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Seth Zerbel was known for his compassionate heart and unwavering dedication to his faith. He had served as a pastor at Joplin Grace Chapel, where he ministered to countless individuals before the chapel closed in October. Following that chapter, Seth continued his service to others through his work with Teen Challenge, dedicating his time and energy to supporting young people and guiding them toward hope and transformation.
Friends, family, and colleagues remember Seth as a devoted pastor, mentor, and friend. His life was defined by kindness, service, and a deep commitment to his community. He touched the lives of many through his guidance, encouragement, and example of faith in action.
The loss of Seth Zerbel is a profound one for the Neosho community and all who had the privilege of knowing him. In the face of this tragedy, his family, friends, and all whose lives he impacted are left to grieve and honor the legacy of a man whose dedication to others was unmatched.
