In Loving Memory of Logan Alicia Brooks
Ector County, Texas—Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of Logan Alicia Brooks, a bright 23-year-old woman from Prentiss, Mississippi, who tragically passed away on March 25, 2026. On that fateful evening, Logan was driving a Nissan Altima westbound on West 42nd Street, approaching the intersection with FM 866. Around 9 p.m., in a split second, she ran a stop sign and collided with a semi-truck that was traveling northbound on FM 866. Despite the efforts of first responders, Logan was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver, thankfully, escaped without injury.
Logan’s sudden departure leaves a profound void in the lives of those who loved her. She was not just a name in a news report; she was a daughter, a sister, a friend, and a dreamer with a bright future. Logan’s family and friends remember her as a kind, compassionate, and spirited young woman. Even at 23, she radiated positivity and carried an infectious energy that touched everyone who crossed her path.
Friends often recall her love for family gatherings, her laughter that filled a room, and her ambition to make a difference. Whether she was pursuing her dreams or simply spending time in the company of loved ones, Logan approached life with purpose and an open heart.
As we grapple with this heartbreaking loss, we extend our deepest sympathies to Logan’s family—her parents, siblings, and all who loved her. May they find comfort in cherished memories, and may Logan’s spirit continue to inspire us. Though her time with us was far too brief, her legacy of love, kindness, and hope will live on in every life she touched. Rest in peace, Logan. You will never be forgotten.
