In Loving Memory of Alisa Shaquita Andrell Patton

In Loving Memory of Alisa Shaquita Andrell Patton 🕊️

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we remember and honor the life of Alisa Shaquita Andrell Patton, whose tragic passing on March 25, 2026, has left a deep and painful void in the hearts of her family, friends, and the Opelika community.

Alisa, 38, was a woman whose life carried meaning far beyond the circumstances of her passing. She was someone who lived, loved, and mattered. To those who knew her personally, she was more than a name—she was a presence filled with warmth, strength, and individuality. She was a daughter, a friend, and a loved one whose impact will never be forgotten.

On that heartbreaking Wednesday morning, at approximately 10:56 a.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire at the Arbor Place Apartments on Fox Run Parkway. There, they found Alisa inside her white Ford Explorer, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the immediate response and efforts to save her life, she was pronounced deceased at 11:05 a.m. by Lee County Coroner Daniel Sexton. The scene reflected the severity of the incident, with the vehicle sustaining multiple gunshot impacts and coming to rest after crashing into part of the apartment complex.

Authorities later identified 27-year-old Marc John Love as the suspect, who was apprehended at the scene by an Alabama Law Enforcement Agency state trooper who happened to be nearby when the shots were fired. He now faces serious charges, including capital murder of a person inside a vehicle, along with unlawful possession of a firearm. While the legal process will continue, no outcome can undo the loss or ease the grief carried by those who loved Alisa.

In moments like these, it is important to pause and remember the person behind the tragedy. Alisa’s life was not defined by how it ended, but by the moments she lived, the connections she built, and the memories she created with those around her. Her laughter, her kindness, her struggles, and her triumphs—all of it made her who she was: a human being deeply valued and deeply loved.

Her passing serves as a painful reminder of how fragile life can be. One moment can change everything, leaving behind questions, heartbreak, and a longing for more time that will never come. For her family, this loss is immeasurable. For her friends, it is a wound that words cannot fully heal. And for the community, it is a moment of shared grief and reflection.

As we honor Alisa Shaquita Andrell Patton, we hold onto the hope that her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. May her life be remembered not for the tragedy that took her, but for the love she gave, the presence she carried, and the impact she made.

To her family and loved ones, we extend our deepest condolences. May you find strength in one another, comfort in cherished memories, and peace in knowing that Alisa’s life, though cut short, will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace, Alisa. You are gone, but your memory will forever remain. 🕊️
