In Loving Memory of Jack Lineberry
With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we remember and honor the life of Jack Lineberry, 66, of New Philadelphia, whose life was tragically cut short following a motorcycle accident on the evening of Saturday, March 21, 2026, in Tuscarawas County. His passing leaves a profound emptiness in the lives of those who knew and loved him, and his memory will forever be carried in the hearts of family, friends, and community members.
On that evening, at approximately 5:05 p.m., Jack was traveling along State Route 800, a road he may have known well, riding his 2006 Harley-Davidson—a symbol of freedom, passion, and the open road. In a sudden and devastating moment, as traffic shifted ahead, Jack attempted to avoid a slowing vehicle. In doing so, he lost control and tragically struck a guardrail. Despite the swift response of emergency personnel and his transport by medical helicopter to Akron, his injuries proved too severe.
Jack Lineberry was more than the circumstances of that day. He was a man who had lived decades filled with experiences, relationships, and stories that shaped who he was. At 66, he had built a life that reflected resilience, individuality, and a love for the simple yet meaningful moments. Those who knew Jack remember him not just as a motorcyclist, but as a person—someone with a personality, a history, and a presence that cannot be replaced.
He was a familiar face to many, a friend to some, and family to those who now carry the burden of his loss. Whether it was through conversation, shared laughter, or quiet moments of understanding, Jack left behind memories that will not fade. His life, though ended too soon, was one that mattered deeply.
This tragic loss also serves as a somber reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of safety, awareness, and care on the road. In moments like these, we are reminded how quickly everything can change, and how precious each day truly is.
As the community reflects on Jack’s passing, there is gratitude for the emergency responders who answered the call—Mineral-Sandy EMS, Mineral City Fire Department, Smith Ambulance, MedFlight, and Finlayson Towing—whose efforts reflect the compassion and dedication of those who serve in times of crisis.
To the family and loved ones of Jack Lineberry, no words can fully ease the pain of your loss. May you find comfort in the memories you shared, in the love that surrounds you, and in the knowledge that his life touched others in ways that will not be forgotten.
May Jack Lineberry rest in peace. His journey on this earth has come to an end, but his memory will continue to ride on in the hearts of all who knew him.
