In Loving Memory of Sean Duarte
With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we remember and honor the life of Sean Duarte, a beloved son, friend, and member of the Odessa community, whose life was tragically taken on March 17 in Glasscock County, Texas.
On that afternoon, what began as an ordinary journey turned into an unimaginable loss. At the intersection of FM 2401 and FM 1357, a devastating collision occurred when a vehicle failed to yield at a stop sign and struck a semi-truck. The impact of the crash was severe—leaving one individual seriously injured and claiming the life of Sean Duarte, who was just 36 years old. Despite the swift response of emergency personnel, Sean sadly passed away at the scene.
Sean’s passing leaves behind a void that words can scarcely fill. He was more than just a name in a report—he was a life full of experiences, relationships, laughter, and meaning. To those who knew him, Sean was someone whose presence mattered. Whether through his kindness, his conversations, or simply his quiet strength, he left an impression that will not be forgotten.
In moments like these, we are reminded how fragile life can be. A single instant can change everything, and the weight of that reality is deeply felt by all who loved Sean. His family now faces the unimaginable pain of loss, and his friends mourn the absence of someone who was part of their everyday lives.
Though his time here was cut short, Sean’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. The stories shared, the moments remembered, and the love that remains will serve as a lasting tribute to who he was.
As the investigation into the crash continues, we hold on to the importance of cherishing every moment and valuing the people around us. Sean’s passing is not only a tragedy but also a reminder of how precious life truly is.
Today, we remember Sean Duarte—not for the way he left this world, but for the life he lived and the impact he made. May his soul rest in peace, and may his loved ones find comfort, strength, and healing in the days ahead.
Forever remembered. Forever missed.
