HUDSON, Fla — The community of Hudson is mourning the tragic loss of John Leyden, an 18-year-old whose life waa taken too soon . John passed away in a devastating road incident on Little Road, south of Fred Street, after being ejected from his vehicle. He leaves behind family, friends, and a community struggling to process this sudden loss.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, John was driving a Nissan Xterra northbound when he lost control of the vehicle. The car entered the median, rotated, and overturned multiple times. Tragically, John was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. Two passengers, a 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man, were also in the car and sustained minor injuries.
John Leyden was known by those who loved him as a bright, energetic, and compassionate young man with a deep love for his friends and family. At just 18, he had his whole life ahead of him — full of dreams, aspirations, and potential. His passing leaves an emptiness felt by everyone who knew him.
