Responding officers arrived at the scene near 14th Avenue and Apple Street following reports of a traffic incident, only to discover a far more heartbreaking situation. Both young men were found with critical injuries and were rushed to Jefferson Regional Medical Center, where, despite all efforts, they were later pronounced gone.
