On that fateful Monday evening, at approximately 7:05 p.m., the peace of the Sunny Isles area was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Alerts from the ShotSpotter Detection System signaled that multiple rounds had been discharged near Estate Diamond. Moments later, calls flooded the 911 Emergency Call Center as concerned residents reported a man down near the Gas for Less Gas Station. What followed was a scene of urgency, fear, and heartbreak.

Responding officers arrived swiftly and found Emmett lying on the western side of the gas station, suffering from gunshot wounds. First responders worked diligently, doing everything within their power to stabilize him. Emergency Medical Technicians transported him to Juan F. Luis Hospital, where medical staff fought tirelessly to save his life. Despite their efforts, Emmett succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival, leaving behind a grieving community and countless unanswered questions.

Emmett Bramble Jr. was more than the circumstances surrounding his passing. He was a son, a friend, a neighbor, and a valued member of his community.
